Toronto Community Donates 25,000 lbs of Food in One Day

On Saturday, April 3, Daily Bread Food Bank hosted our Spring Drive-Thru Food Drive.

Together, our community collected over 25,000 lbs. of non-perishable food for our neighbours experiencing food insecurity.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the drive and supported our efforts! Your commitment to our mission to eliminate food insecurity and advocate for solutions to end poverty is inspiring and together YOU have impacted the lives of thousands in our city.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Mayor John Tory, MPP Christine Hogarth, MP James Maloney, City Councillor Michael Ford, our friends at Rogers Centre and members of Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association for their hard work unloading donations safely. And of course, to our incredible team of dedicated volunteers!

To those who were not able to join us, but made a donation online or dropped off food at our satellite location at Rogers Centre or a fire hall – we see you too and we are grateful!
