From July 13 to August 9, Peloton brought their global community together for the Pelothon challenge. The four week program united it’s 2.6 million members in the mission to end hunger, and included a $1 million donation to four global charities fighting food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each week, the challenge highlighted the work of one of four charities, with donations being made to each. Daily Bread Food Bank was honoured to be their Canadian partner, given the spot light in the final week of the challenge and $250,000 to support our hunger relief efforts.
The challenge provided members with positive activities to engage in with their community. Peloton’s instructors were also divided into six teams, with the option of cycling, tread, yoga and meditation to motivate their followers throughout the four weeks.
“The Pelothon was created to bring our member community and instructors together to support global hunger relief efforts. We are thrilled to have launched a challenge that connects our members and helps our global communities during a time when they need it most,” Jamie Herbert, General Manager at Peloton Interactive Canada.
On behalf of our agency network and those that we serve, thank you Peloton! Your generosity and commitment to our cause is truly appreciated.
