Next week, all of us at Daily Bread Food Bank will be applauding our amazing volunteers during National Volunteer Week, April 19-25.
Over the past few weeks, as we have been adjusting to the impacts of COVID-19 on our day-to-day operations, volunteers from all over the city have stepped up to support our work and ensure that those in need can continue to access food during this critical time.
Things look different in our warehouse these days. We have made changes to our food sorting and packing processes, allowing for social distancing and taken measures to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and clients. This includes limiting the number of individuals that can be in our warehouse at any one time. But through these changes, one thing has remained the same: the love and care our volunteers bring every single time, and for that, we are so grateful.
We hope you will join us in saying THANK YOU to every single volunteer out there, who is giving their time, their love and their commitment to making our city a better place for all.
Stay tuned to our social channels next week, as we will be highlighting some of these incredible individuals and groups.
