On Thursday, September 17, Daily Bread Food Bank launched our 2020 Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Neil Hetherington, CEO, Daily Bread Food Bank, was in attendance to announce this year’s goal and discuss the importance of the campaign, as the city has seen a 200% increase in new clients accessing food banks due to COVID-19.

Neil was also joined by Ana Bailão, Deputy Mayor, Michael Thompson, Deputy Mayor, Mary de Guzman, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Purolator, and Frank Ramagnano, President, Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association.
“As we prepare for Thanksgiving, I encourage you to also think about supporting Daily Bread Food Bank in their efforts to feed vulnerable residents across Toronto,” says Mayor John Tory. “This is a time for our city to continue to come together to support those who need help the most to face the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
