The federal election is an opportunity to have a say in choosing our next Prime Minister. You will also be voting for your Member of Parliament (MP).
Election day has officially been called for Monday, April 28, 2025. Polling places will be open from 9:30am – 9:30pm. Vote at your assigned voting location, which you can find on your voter information card or through the Voter Information Service.

The Voter Information Service provided by Elections Canada gives useful information about your electoral district, including the list of candidates, locations of advance and election day polling places, the address of your local Elections Canada office and a map of your electoral district.
You can find information by inputting your postal code, name of your electoral district, candidate name, etc.
There are five main federal political parties: Liberal Party of Canada, Conservative Party of Canada, New Democratic Party, Bloc Québécois and Green Party of Canada.
