On Tuesday, May 31, Daily Bread Food Bank in partnership with LAMP Community Health Centre hosted an Etobicoke-Lakeshore All Candidates Townhall.
Daily Bread’s production floor, where food donations are typically sorted, was transformed for the evening to welcome residents from the community. Moderated by CEO, Neil Hetherington, candidates from three of the largest parties took to the podium to answer questions from the audiences on-site and via live-stream.
All major parties were invited to attend. We were pleased to welcome the following candidates:
Candidates were asked questions around poverty, housing, healthcare and employment, and provided responses based on their own experience and party platforms.
We are grateful to everyone who attended in-person and virtually.
