Daily Bread Food Bank has been named as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2024 by Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
Now in its 18th year, the Greater Toronto’s Top Employers competition is an editorial project that recognizes employers with exceptional human resources programs and forward-thinking workplace policies. The list is comprised of organizations who have been chosen based on evaluations in the following categories: workplace, work atmosphere, employee benefits, vacation and time-off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement.
Daily Bread was recognized as a top employer because of the progressive benefits that are provided to employees, including mental health supports and initiatives like mindfulness sessions that help to improve team well-being, along with investments in training and professional development opportunities, to name a few.
We are honoured to have joined this year’s list, alongside other organizations in the city. At Daily Bread Food Bank, we work to meet emergency needs daily, while advocating for long-term solutions to end hunger and poverty – two very significant issues plaguing too many Torontonians. Despite this, we continue to lift each other up, and strive to foster a culture where passionate, diverse, and values-driven people join, and stay, to enact change.
