What a night! On December 13, Daily Bread Food Bank hosted the 2023 Winter Bash in celebration of our dedicated volunteers.
The night was full of joy, laughter and holiday cheer. Our chefs whipped up an amazing menu, while our youngest guests enjoyed some sweet treats and took part in some festive crafts. We even had a special visit from Santa Claus, while a live band performed for our wonderful audience.
To all our volunteers, both new additions and veterans, this celebration was just a small token of our appreciation for all of your time, energy and passion. Thank you for all that you do!
As a nonprofit organization, Daily Bread is incredibly grateful for the power of collective action that we get to witness each day through our volunteers. Over the last year, we’ve welcomed 4,726 unique volunteers who have dedicated 103,898 hours of their time to support our mission. Simply put, we could not do the work we do without them.
Because of our volunteers, millions of pounds of food are packed, sorted and distributed across the city. Clients get answers to their questions along with the assistance they need. Thousands of nutritious meals are prepared in our kitchen. And day after day, we’re fortunate to receive the unwavering support of a group of individuals who are committed to joining the fight to end hunger.
