Earlier this month, we were honored to welcome our loyal supporters at Cancer Care Ontario to the Daily Bread warehouse to unveil and celebrate their Champion Fundraisers spot on our Donor Wall.
Since 2015, Cancer Care Ontario has raised $66,735 in support of Daily Bread and donated 2,936 lbs of food in an effort to fight hunger in our city. A true leader in the community, CCO mobilizes all employees through fundraising events including silent auctions as well as special holiday traditions like their gingerbread house-making competition.
In addition to donations, CCO employees generously give their time by volunteering at our warehouse sorting and packing food or collecting cash donations from commuters at busy subway stations during Daily Bread’s annual TTC Challenge. This year, the energetic team raised a record-breaking $8,878 in just two days.
