The Federal election is a chance to have a say on who represents our country as Prime Minister. You will be voting for your Member of Parliament (MP) who is responsible for various issues that affect our everyday life such as: taxes, economy and affordability, job skills and training, public health, food security and hunger, housing, climate change, childcare and more.
When is Election Day?
Election day has officially been called for September 20, 2021. Polling places will be open from 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. COVID-19 public health protocols will be in place at all election events and voting places.

Who is my candidate and what electoral district do I live in?
The Voter Information Service provided by Elections Canada gives useful information about your electoral district, including the list of candidates, locations of advance and election day polling places, the address of your local Elections Canada office and a map of your electoral district. You input your postal code and the system generates the information relevant to you.
There are five official parties: The Liberal Party of Canada, The Conservative Party of Canada, the New Democratic Party of Canada, the Bloc Québécois, and the Green Party of Canada. You can find out more about the national party platforms here.
