Providing food to those in need can be difficult at the best of times. With COVID-19, and the challenging times we have faced over these last few months — and will continue to face — that task has gotten much harder.
On June 24th CBC Toronto celebrated the resilience of our city and the people who are helping to bring us together, support our neighbours and feed our communities.
This special day of programming with music and inspirational stories gave us the opportunity to come together in support of food banks across the GTA. Together we raised over $22,000 to help ensure that everyone’s right to food is realized in the weeks – and months – ahead.
